VULC 1 [Parabolæ Salomonis, filii David, regis Israël,
KJV 2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
VULC 2 ad sciendam sapientiam et disciplinam ;
KJV 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
VULC 3 ad intelligenda verba prudentiæ,
et suscipiendam eruditionem doctrinæ,
justitiam, et judicium, et æquitatem :
KJV 4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
VULC 4 ut detur parvulis astutia,

KJV 5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
VULC 5 Audiens sapiens, sapientior erit,
et intelligens gubernacula possidebit.
KJV 6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
VULC 6 Animadvertet parabolam et interpretationem,
verba sapientum et ænigmata eorum.
