BCC ¹⁰ Pharaon approchait. Les enfants d'Israël levèrent les yeux, et voici, les Égyptiens étaient en marche derrière eux ; et les enfants d'Israël, saisis d'une grande frayeur, poussèrent des cris vers Yahweh. Ils dirent à Moïse :

KJV ¹⁰ And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.

MAR ¹⁰ Et lorsque Pharaon se fut approché, les enfants d'Israël levèrent leurs yeux, et voici, les Egyptiens marchaient après eux, et les enfants d'Israël eurent une fort grande peur, et crièrent à l'Eternel.

WLC ¹⁰ וּפַרְעֹ֖ה הִקְרִ֑יב וַיִּשְׂאוּ֩ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל אֶת־ עֵינֵיהֶ֜ם וְהִנֵּ֥ה מִצְרַ֣יִם ׀ נֹסֵ֣עַ אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם וַיִּֽירְאוּ֙ מְאֹ֔ד וַיִּצְעֲק֥וּ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־ יְהוָֽה׃

BCC ¹¹ "N'y avait-il donc pas des sépulcres en Égypte, que tu nous aies menés mourir au désert ? Que nous as-tu fait, en nous faisant sortir d'Égypte ?

KJV ¹¹ And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?

MAR ¹¹ Et dirent à Moïse : est-ce qu'il n'y avait pas de sépulcres en Egypte, que tu nous aies emmenés pour mourir au désert ? Qu'est-ce que tu nous as fait de nous avoir fait sortir d'Egypte ?

WLC ¹¹ וַיֹּאמְרוּ֮ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁה֒ הַֽמִבְּלִ֤י אֵין־ קְבָרִים֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם לְקַחְתָּ֖נוּ לָמ֣וּת בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר מַה־ זֹּאת֙ עָשִׂ֣יתָ לָּ֔נוּ לְהוֹצִיאָ֖נוּ מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃

BCC ¹² N'est-ce pas là ce que nous te disions en Égypte : Laisse-nous servir les Égyptiens, car il vaut mieux pour nous servir les Égyptiens que de mourir au désert ?"

KJV ¹² Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

MAR ¹² N'est-ce pas ce que nous te disions en Egypte, disant : retire-toi de nous, et que nous servions les Egyptiens ? Car il vaut mieux que nous les servions, que si nous mourions au désert.

WLC ¹² הֲלֹא־ זֶ֣ה הַדָּבָ֗ר אֲשֶׁר֩ דִּבַּ֨רְנוּ אֵלֶ֤יךָ בְמִצְרַ֙יִם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר חֲדַ֥ל מִמֶּ֖נּוּ וְנַֽעַבְדָ֣ה אֶת־ מִצְרָ֑יִם כִּ֣י ט֥וֹב לָ֙נוּ֙ עֲבֹ֣ד אֶת־ מִצְרַ֔יִם מִמֻּתֵ֖נוּ בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃

BCC ¹³ Moïse répondit au peuple : "n'ayez point de crainte, restez en place, et regardez le salut que Yahweh va vous accorder en ce jour ; car les Égyptiens que vous voyez aujourd'hui, vous ne les reverrez jamais.

KJV ¹³ And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

MAR ¹³ Et Moïse dit au peuple : ne craignez point, arrêtez-vous, et voyez la délivrance de l'Eternel, laquelle il vous donnera aujourd'hui ; car pour les Egyptiens que vous avez vus aujourd'hui, vous ne les verrez plus.

WLC ¹³ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶל־ הָעָם֮ אַל־ תִּירָאוּ֒ הִֽתְיַצְב֗וּ וּרְאוּ֙ אֶת־ יְשׁוּעַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם הַיּ֑וֹם כִּ֗י אֲשֶׁ֨ר רְאִיתֶ֤ם אֶת־ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ הַיּ֔וֹם לֹ֥א תֹסִ֛יפוּ לִרְאֹתָ֥ם ע֖וֹד עַד־ עוֹלָֽם׃

BCC ¹⁴ Yahweh combattra pour vous, et vous, tenez-vous tranquilles."

KJV ¹⁴ The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

MAR ¹⁴ L'Eternel combattra pour vous, et vous demeurerez tranquilles.

WLC ¹⁴ יְהוָ֖ה יִלָּחֵ֣ם לָכֶ֑ם וְאַתֶּ֖ם תַּחֲרִישֽׁוּן׃

BCC ¹⁵ Yahweh dit à Moïse : "Pourquoi cries-tu vers moi ? Dis aux enfants d'Israël de se mettre en marche.

KJV ¹⁵ And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

MAR ¹⁵ Or l'Eternel avait dit à Moïse : que cries-tu à moi ? Parle aux enfants d'Israël, qu'ils marchent.

BCC ¹⁶ Toi, lève ton bâton, étends ta main sur la mer, et divise-la ; et les enfants d'Israël entreront au milieu de la mer à sec.

KJV ¹⁶ But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

MAR ¹⁶ Et toi, élève ta verge, et étends ta main sur la mer, et la fends, et que les enfants d'Israël entrent au milieu de la mer à sec.

WLC ¹⁶ וְאַתָּ֞ה הָרֵ֣ם אֶֽת־ מַטְּךָ֗ וּנְטֵ֧ה אֶת־ יָדְךָ֛ עַל־ הַיָּ֖ם וּבְקָעֵ֑הוּ וְיָבֹ֧אוּ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיָּ֖ם בַּיַּבָּשָֽׁה׃

BCC ¹⁷ Et moi, je vais endurcir le coeur des Égyptiens pour qu'ils y entrent après eux, et je ferai éclater ma gloire dans Pharaon et dans toute son armée, ses chars et ses cavaliers.

KJV ¹⁷ And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

MAR ¹⁷ Et quant à moi, voici, je m'en vais endurcir le coeur des Egyptiens, afin qu'ils entrent après eux ; et je serai glorifié en Pharaon, et en toute son armée, en ses chariots et en ses gens de cheval.

BCC ¹⁸ Et les Égyptiens sauront que je suis Yahweh, quand j'aurai fait éclaté ma gloire sur Pharaon, ses chars et ses cavaliers."

KJV ¹⁸ And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

MAR ¹⁸ Et les Egyptiens sauront que je suis l'Eternel, quand j'aurai été glorifié en Pharaon, en ses chariots, et en ses gens de cheval.

BCC ¹⁹ L'ange de Dieu, qui marchait devant le camp d'Israël, partit et alla derrière eux ; et la colonne de nuée qui les précédait, partit et se tint derrière eux.

KJV ¹⁹ And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

BCC ²⁰ Elle vint se mettre entre le camp des Égyptiens et le camp d'Israël, et cette nuée était ténébreuse d'un côté, et de l'autre elle éclairait la nuit ; et les deux camps n'approchèrent point l'un de l'autre pendant toute la nuit.

KJV ²⁰ And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

MAR ²⁰ Et elle vint entre le camp des Egyptiens et le camp d'Israël ; et elle était aux uns une nuée et une obscurité, et pour les autres, elle les éclairait la nuit ; et l'un [des camps] n'approcha point de l'autre durant toute la nuit.

WLC ²⁰ וַיָּבֹ֞א בֵּ֣ין ׀ מַחֲנֵ֣ה מִצְרַ֗יִם וּבֵין֙ מַחֲנֵ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיְהִ֤י הֶֽעָנָן֙ וְהַחֹ֔שֶׁךְ וַיָּ֖אֶר אֶת־ הַלָּ֑יְלָה וְלֹא־ קָרַ֥ב זֶ֛ה אֶל־ זֶ֖ה כָּל־ הַלָּֽיְלָה׃

BCC ²¹ Moïse ayant étendu sa main sur la mer, Yahweh refoula la mer par un vent impétueux d'orient qui souffla toute la nuit ; il mit la mer à sec, et les eaux se divisèrent.

KJV ²¹ And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

MAR ²¹ Or Moïse avait étendu sa main sur la mer ; et l'Eternel fit reculer la mer toute la nuit par un vent d'Orient fort véhément, et mit la mer à sec, et les eaux se fendirent.

WLC ²¹ וַיֵּ֨ט מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶת־ יָדוֹ֮ עַל־ הַיָּם֒ וַיּ֣וֹלֶךְ יְהוָ֣ה ׀ אֶת־ הַ֠יָּם בְּר֨וּחַ קָדִ֤ים עַזָּה֙ כָּל־ הַלַּ֔יְלָה וַיָּ֥שֶׂם אֶת־ הַיָּ֖ם לֶחָרָבָ֑ה וַיִּבָּקְע֖וּ הַמָּֽיִם׃

BCC ²² Les enfants d'Israël entrèrent au milieu de la mer à sec, et les eaux formaient pour eux une muraille à leur droite et à leur gauche.

KJV ²² And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
