KJV ²² And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

BCC ²³ Dans l'enfer, il leva les yeux, en proie aux tourments, et il aperçut de loin Abraham, et Lazare dans son sein.

KJV ²³ And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

KJV ²⁴ And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

BCC ²⁵ Abraham dit : "mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu tes biens pendant ta vie, et pareillement Lazare ses maux. Maintenant il est consolé ici, et toi tu souffres.

KJV ²⁵ But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

BCC ²⁶ Et avec tout cela, entre nous et vous a été établi un grand abîme, de sorte que ceux qui voudraient passer d'ici vers vous ne le pourraient pas, et que [ceux] de là-bas ne traversent pas non plus vers nous. "

KJV ²⁶ And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

KJV ²⁷ Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

KJV ²⁸ For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

BCC ²⁹ Abraham dit : "ils ont Moïse et les prophètes : qu'ils les écoutent !"

KJV ²⁹ Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

BCC ³⁰ Il dit : "non, père Abraham ; mais si quelqu'un de chez les morts va vers eux, ils se repentiront."

KJV ³⁰ And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

BCC ³¹ Il lui dit : "s'ils n'écoutent pas Moïse et les prophètes, même si quelqu'un ressuscitait d'entre les morts, ils ne seraient pas persuadés."

KJV ³¹ And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

BCC ¹ Il dit à ses disciples : "on ne peut supposer qu'il n'arrivera pas de scandale ; mais malheur à celui par qui ils arrivent !

KJV ¹ Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

KJV ² It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

BCC ³ Prenez garde pour vous-mêmes.

KJV ³ Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

KJV ⁶ And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

BCC ⁷ Qui d'entre vous, ayant un serviteur employé comme laboureur ou pâtre, lui dira à son retour des champs : "vite, viens te mettre à table "?

KJV ⁷ But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

BCC ⁸ Au contraire, ne lui dira-t-il pas : "prépare-moi à dîner ; puis, tu te ceindras et te me serviras jusqu'à ce que j'aie mangé et bu ; et après cela, toit, tu mangeras et boiras "?

KJV ⁸ And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

KJV ⁹ Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
