BCC ⁴ Voici l'histoire du ciel et de la terre quand ils furent créés, lorsque Yahweh Dieu eut fait une terre et un ciel.

KJV ⁴ These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

WLC ⁴ אֵ֣לֶּה תוֹלְד֧וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם וְהָאָ֖רֶץ בְּהִבָּֽרְאָ֑ם בְּי֗וֹם עֲשׂ֛וֹת יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶ֥רֶץ וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃

BCC ⁵ Il n'y avait encore sur la terre aucun arbrisseau des champs, et aucune herbe des champs n'avait encore germé ; car Yahweh Dieu n'avait pas fait pleuvoir sur la terre, et il n'y avait pas d'homme pour cultiver le sol.

KJV ⁵ And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

WLC ⁵ וְכֹ֣ל ׀ שִׂ֣יחַ הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה טֶ֚רֶם יִֽהְיֶ֣ה בָאָ֔רֶץ וְכָל־ עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה טֶ֣רֶם יִצְמָ֑ח כִּי֩ לֹ֨א הִמְטִ֜יר יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ עַל־ הָאָ֔רֶץ וְאָדָ֣ם אַ֔יִן לַֽעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת־ הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃

BCC ⁶ Mais une vapeur montait de la terre et arrosait toute la surface du sol.

KJV ⁶ But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

WLC ⁶ וְאֵ֖ד יַֽעֲלֶ֣ה מִן־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וְהִשְׁקָ֖ה אֶֽת־ כָּל־ פְּנֵֽי־ הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃

BCC ⁷ Yahweh Dieu forma l'homme de la poussière du sol, et il souffla dans ses narines un souffle de vie, et l'homme devint un être vivant.

KJV ⁷ And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

WLC ⁷ וַיִּיצֶר֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֜ים אֶת־ הָֽאָדָ֗ם עָפָר֙ מִן־ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה וַיִּפַּ֥ח בְּאַפָּ֖יו נִשְׁמַ֣ת חַיִּ֑ים וַֽיְהִ֥י הָֽאָדָ֖ם לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּֽה׃

BCC ⁸ Puis Yahweh Dieu planta un jardin en Éden du côté de l'Orient, et il y mit l'homme qu'il avait formé.

KJV ⁸ And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

WLC ⁸ וַיִּטַּ֞ע יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהִ֛ים גַּן־ בְעֵ֖דֶן מִקֶּ֑דֶם וַיָּ֣שֶׂם שָׁ֔ם אֶת־ הָֽאָדָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָצָֽר׃

BCC ⁹ Et Yahweh Dieu fit pousser du sol toute espèce d'arbres agréables à voir et bons à manger, et l'arbre de la vie au milieu du jardin, et l'arbre de la connaissance du bien et du mal.

KJV ⁹ And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

WLC ⁹ וַיַּצְמַ֞ח יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ מִן־ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה כָּל־ עֵ֛ץ נֶחְמָ֥ד לְמַרְאֶ֖ה וְט֣וֹב לְמַאֲכָ֑ל וְעֵ֤ץ הַֽחַיִּים֙ בְּת֣וֹךְ הַגָּ֔ן וְעֵ֕ץ הַדַּ֖עַת ט֥וֹב וָרָֽע׃

BCC ¹⁰ Un fleuve sortait d'Éden pour arroser le jardin, et de là il se partageait en quatre bras.

KJV ¹⁰ And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

WLC ¹⁰ וְנָהָרּ֙ יֹצֵ֣א מֵעֵ֔דֶן לְהַשְׁק֖וֹת אֶת־ הַגָּ֑ן וּמִשָּׁם֙ יִפָּרֵ֔ד וְהָיָ֖ה לְאַרְבָּעָ֥ה רָאשִֽׁים׃

BCC ¹¹ Le nom du premier est Phison ; c'est celui qui entoure tout le pays d'Hévilath, où se trouve l'or.

KJV ¹¹ The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

WLC ¹¹ שֵׁ֥ם הָֽאֶחָ֖ד פִּישׁ֑וֹן ה֣וּא הַסֹּבֵ֗ב אֵ֚ת כָּל־ אֶ֣רֶץ הַֽחֲוִילָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־ שָׁ֖ם הַזָּהָֽב׃

BCC ¹² Et l'or de ce pays est bon ; là aussi se trouvent le bdellium et la pierre d'onyx.

KJV ¹² And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

WLC ¹² וּֽזֲהַ֛ב הָאָ֥רֶץ הַהִ֖וא ט֑וֹב שָׁ֥ם הַבְּדֹ֖לַח וְאֶ֥בֶן הַשֹּֽׁהַם׃

BCC ¹³ Le nom du second fleuve est Géhon ; c'est celui qui entoure toute la terre de Cousch.

KJV ¹³ And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

WLC ¹³ וְשֵֽׁם־ הַנָּהָ֥ר הַשֵּׁנִ֖י גִּיח֑וֹן ה֣וּא הַסּוֹבֵ֔ב אֵ֖ת כָּל־ אֶ֥רֶץ כּֽוּשׁ׃

BCC ¹⁴ Le nom du troisième est le Tigre ; c'est celui qui coule à l'orient d'Assur. Le quatrième fleuve est l'Euphrate.

KJV ¹⁴ And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

WLC ¹⁴ וְשֵׁ֨ם הַנָּהָ֤ר הַשְּׁלִישִׁי֙ חִדֶּ֔קֶל ה֥וּא הַֽהֹלֵ֖ךְ קִדְמַ֣ת אַשּׁ֑וּר וְהַנָּהָ֥ר הָֽרְבִיעִ֖י ה֥וּא פְרָֽת׃

BCC ¹⁵ Yahweh Dieu prit l'homme et le plaça dans le jardin d'Éden pour le cultiver et pour le garder.

KJV ¹⁵ And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

WLC ¹⁵ וַיִּקַּ֛ח יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־ הָֽאָדָ֑ם וַיַּנִּחֵ֣הוּ בְגַן־ עֵ֔דֶן לְעָבְדָ֖הּ וּלְשָׁמְרָֽהּ׃
