KJV ¹² And when ye come into an house, salute it.

KJV ¹³ And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

KJV ¹⁵ Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

KJV ¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

LSG ¹⁹ Mais, quand on vous livrera, ne vous inquiétez ni de la manière dont vous parlerez ni de ce que vous direz: ce que vous aurez à dire vous sera donné à l'heure même ;

KJV ²⁰ For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

KJV ²¹ And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

LSG ²¹ Le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son enfant ; les enfants se soulèveront contre leurs parents, et les feront mourir.

KJV ²² And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

LSG ²² Vous serez haïs de tous, à cause de mon nom ; mais celui qui persévérera jusqu'à la fin sera sauvé.

KJV ²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

LSG ²³ Quand on vous persécutera dans une ville, fuyez dans une autre. Je vous le dis en vérité, vous n'aurez pas achevé de parcourir les villes d'Israël que le Fils de l'homme sera venu.

KJV ²⁴ The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

LSG ²⁴ Le disciple n'est pas plus que le maître, ni le serviteur plus que son seigneur.

KJV ²⁵ It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

LSG ²⁵ Il suffit au disciple d'être traité comme son maître, et au serviteur comme son seigneur. S'ils ont appelé le maître de la maison Béelzébul, à combien plus forte raison appelleront-ils ainsi les gens de sa maison !

KJV ²⁶ Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

KJV ²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

KJV ³⁰ But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

KJV ³¹ Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

KJV ³⁴ Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

LSG ³⁴ Ne croyez pas que je sois venu apporter la paix sur la terre ; je ne suis pas venu apporter la paix, mais l'épée.

KJV ³⁵ For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

LSG ³⁵ Car je suis venu mettre la division entre l'homme et son père, entre la fille et sa mère, entre la belle-fille et sa belle-mère ;

KJV ³⁶ And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

LSG ³⁶ et l'homme aura pour ennemis les gens de sa maison.

KJV ³⁷ He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

KJV ³⁸ And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

KJV ⁵ The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

KJV ⁶ And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

KJV ⁷ And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

KJV ⁸ But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

KJV ⁹ But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

KJV ¹⁰ For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

LSG ¹⁰ Car c'est celui dont il est écrit: Voici, j'envoie mon messager devant ta face, Pour préparer ton chemin devant toi.

KJV ¹¹ Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

LSG ¹¹ Je vous le dis en vérité, parmi ceux qui sont nés de femmes, il n'en a point paru de plus grand que Jean Baptiste. Cependant, le plus petit dans le royaume des cieux est plus grand que lui.

KJV ¹² And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

KJV ¹⁹ The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

KJV ²¹ Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

LSG ²¹ Malheur à toi, Chorazin ! malheur à toi, Bethsaïda ! car, si les miracles qui ont été faits au milieu de vous avaient été faits dans Tyr et dans Sidon, il y a longtemps qu'elles se seraient repenties, en prenant le sac et la cendre.

KJV ²² But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

LSG ²² C'est pourquoi je vous le dis: au jour du jugement, Tyr et Sidon seront traitées moins rigoureusement que vous.

KJV ²³ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

LSG ²³ Et toi, Capernaüm, seras-tu élevée jusqu'au ciel ? Non. Tu seras abaissée jusqu'au séjour des morts ; car, si les miracles qui ont été faits au milieu de toi avaient été faits dans Sodome, elle subsisterait encore aujourd'hui.

KJV ²⁴ But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

KJV ²⁹ Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

KJV ¹ At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.

KJV ² But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

KJV ⁴ How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

LSG ⁴ comment il entra dans la maison de Dieu, et mangea les pains de proposition, qu'il ne lui était pas permis de manger, non plus qu'à ceux qui étaient avec lui, et qui étaient réservés aux sacrificateurs seuls ?

KJV ⁵ Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

LSG ⁵ Ou, n'avez-vous pas lu dans la loi que, les jours de sabbat, les sacrificateurs violent le sabbat dans le temple, sans se rendre coupables ?

KJV ⁶ But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

LSG ⁶ Or, je vous le dis, il y a ici quelque chose de plus grand que le temple.

KJV ⁷ But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

LSG ⁷ Si vous saviez ce que signifie: Je prends plaisir à la miséricorde, et non aux sacrifices, vous n'auriez pas condamné des innocents.

KJV ⁸ For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

LSG ⁸ Car le Fils de l'homme est maître du sabbat.

KJV ⁹ And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

LSG ⁹ Étant parti de là, Jésus entra dans la synagogue.

KJV ¹⁰ And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

LSG ¹⁰ Et voici, il s'y trouvait un homme qui avait la main sèche. Ils demandèrent à Jésus: Est-il permis de faire une guérison les jours de sabbat ? C'était afin de pouvoir l'accuser.

KJV ¹¹ And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

LSG ¹¹ Il leur répondit: Lequel d'entre vous, s'il n'a qu'une brebis et qu'elle tombe dans une fosse le jour du sabbat, ne la saisira pour l'en retirer ?

KJV ¹² How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

LSG ¹² Combien un homme ne vaut-il pas plus qu'une brebis ! Il est donc permis de faire du bien les jours de sabbat.

KJV ¹³ Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

LSG ¹³ Alors il dit à l'homme: Étends ta main. Il l'étendit, et elle devint saine comme l'autre.

KJV ¹⁴ Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

LSG ¹⁴ Les pharisiens sortirent, et ils se consultèrent sur les moyens de le faire périr.

KJV ¹⁵ But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

LSG ¹⁵ Mais Jésus, l'ayant su, s'éloigna de ce lieu. Une grande foule le suivit. Il guérit tous les malades,

KJV ¹⁶ And charged them that they should not make him known:

LSG ¹⁶ et il leur recommanda sévèrement de ne pas le faire connaître,

KJV ¹⁷ That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

KJV ²¹ And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

KJV ²² Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

KJV ²⁷ And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

LSG ²⁷ Et si moi, je chasse les démons par Béelzébul, vos fils, par qui les chassent-ils ? C'est pourquoi ils seront eux-mêmes vos juges.

KJV ²⁸ But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

LSG ²⁸ Mais, si c'est par l'Esprit de Dieu que je chasse les démons, le royaume de Dieu est donc venu vers vous.

KJV ²⁹ Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

KJV ³⁰ He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

KJV ³¹ Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

KJV ³⁶ But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

KJV ⁵ Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

LSG ⁵ Une autre partie tomba dans les endroits pierreux, où elle n'avait pas beaucoup de terre: elle leva aussitôt, parce qu'elle ne trouva pas un sol profond ;

KJV ⁶ And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

KJV ⁷ And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

KJV ²¹ Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

KJV ³⁸ The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

LSG ³⁸ le champ, c'est le monde ; la bonne semence, ce sont les fils du royaume ; l'ivraie, ce sont les fils du malin ;

KJV ³⁹ The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

LSG ³⁹ l'ennemi qui l'a semée, c'est le diable ; la moisson, c'est la fin du monde ; les moissonneurs, ce sont les anges.

KJV ⁴⁰ As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

LSG ⁴⁰ Or, comme on arrache l'ivraie et qu'on la jette au feu, il en sera de même à la fin du monde.

KJV ⁴¹ The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

KJV ⁴² And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

KJV ⁴³ Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

KJV ⁴⁸ Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

KJV ⁵² Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

KJV ⁵⁴ And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

KJV ⁵⁶ And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

LSG ⁵⁶ et ses soeurs ne sont-elles pas toutes parmi nous ? D'où lui viennent donc toutes ces choses ?

KJV ⁵⁷ And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

LSG ⁴ parce que Jean lui disait: Il ne t'est pas permis de l'avoir pour femme.

KJV ¹⁹ And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

LSG ¹⁹ Il fit asseoir la foule sur l'herbe, prit les cinq pains et les deux poissons, et, levant les yeux vers le ciel, il rendit grâces. Puis, il rompit les pains et les donna aux disciples, qui les distribuèrent à la foule.

KJV ²⁰ And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
